Pasta with minced meat and tomato paste

Ingredients:

  • 400 grams ofpasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or any other type);
  • 300 grams of ground meat (beef, pork, or a mixture);
  • 1 onion;
  • 3 cloves of garlic;
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil;
  • 1 can of tomato paste (400 grams);
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar;
  • salt and pepper to taste;

Step 1: Preparing the ground meat

Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add olive oil. Finely dice the onion and add it to the pan. Sauté the onion until golden brown, then add the ground meat. Fry until tender, stirring occasionally.

Step 2: Making the tomato sauce

Open a can of tomato paste and add it to the pan with the ground beef. Finely dice the garlic and add it to the pan. Add sugar, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix everything thoroughly and let it cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes to thicken the tomato sauce slightly.

Step 3: Cooking the pasta

Boil a saucepan of water and add salt. Add the pasta and cook until tender, according to the package instructions. Typically, pasta takes 7 to 12 minutes to cook. Drain the cooked pasta in a colander to drain.

Step 4: Mixing the ingredients

Add the cooked ground beef and tomato sauce to the pan with the cooked pasta. Mix thoroughly until the sauce evenly coats the pasta. Place the pan over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for another 2-3 minutes until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
