Spaghetti with mussels


Pasta with mussels and lemon juice is prepared quickly. The dish is well suited for both a simple dinner and a festive table.

  1. Boil spaghetti in salted water until tender. When draining liquid, leave one cup of water – it will be useful later.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a frying pan. Finely dice the garlic, and chop the onion into half rings.
  3. Put the vegetables into the pan, season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, then add to the pot with the cooked pasta.
  4. In the freed pan, again add a piece of butter and lay out the mussels with lemon zest and a pinch of tarragon. Simmer for 4 minutes, then pour in the lemon juice, a cup of liquid and the remaining butter. Simmer the mixture for about 5 more minutes.
  5. Transfer the cooked mussels to the spaghetti and serve on a hot dish immediately on the table.
